Privacy Policy

This policy explains what StarDev collects and how it is used, across stardev.dev and the services we operate, including StarDev Email at stardevemail.dev.

What we collect

Contact details you give us, such as your name and email address.
For StarDev Email: your account credentials and the contents of the mailboxes you use the service to send and receive.
If you switch on alerts: the private email address, mobile number, or voice number you enter yourself in Settings.

How we use it

To operate the services you asked for — delivering your mail, sending the alerts you enabled, and matching any reply you send back by text, call or forwarded email to the correct conversation.

Mobile information and SMS

    We do not share, sell, or provide your mobile phone number or
    messaging consent data to third parties or affiliates for marketing or
    promotional purposes.
  

Mobile numbers collected for the SMS alerts program are used only to send you the alerts you enabled and to route your replies. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are not shared with any third party except the messaging provider that delivers the messages on our behalf.

What we collect for messaging: the mobile number you type into the alerts form, and the record of your consent (which account enabled it, and when). How it is used: to send you a text when new mail arrives in a mailbox you enabled, and to match a reply you text back to the correct email conversation.

Message frequency varies — one message per incoming email to the mailboxes you enabled, typically a few per day. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any message to opt out, or HELP for help. Full program details are on the SMS Alerts Program page.

Who we share information with

Only the service providers needed to run the services: our email delivery provider (SendGrid), our messaging and voice provider (Twilio), and our hosting and database providers (Supabase, Netlify). They process data on our behalf and may not use it for their own purposes. We disclose information otherwise only where the law requires it. We do not sell personal information.

Retention

Mail is kept until you delete it or close your account. Alert settings are kept until you change or remove them. Delivery records for messages we sent you are retained for a limited period for troubleshooting and compliance.

Your choices

You can turn any alert channel off at any time in Settings → Alerts, or by replying STOP to a text message. To request access to or deletion of your data, email info@stardev.dev.

Children

Our services are intended for business use by adults and are not directed at children under 13.

We may update this policy; the date above shows the current version.
